FWD: London 2025 Event Terms and Conditions (“Terms”)
By registering for and/or attending an in-person or virtual event (“Event”) hosted by Rocket Science Group LLC t/a Mailchimp (referred to as “Mailchimp” or “Event Host”), you accept and agree to these Terms (“Terms”). Mailchimp is a US company based in 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE Ste 5000 Atlanta, GA, 30308-2172 United States and is part of the Intuit group of companies and our parent entity is Intuit Inc. These Terms and the Intuit Global Privacy Statement govern how the Event Host will use and maintain your Personal Data in connection with the Event. These Terms constitute the most current version as of 4 March 2025. Event Host reserves the right to update, modify, or change these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any updates will be posted on https://movingfwdwithmailchimp.co.uk/Home/ and continued participation in the event constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
EVENT HOST POLICY:
I agree to comply with Event Host’s policy that attendee information and any Personal Data made available to me pre/during/post Event will not be used by me for any marketing purposes; and that Event Host may, in its sole discretion:
- reserve the right to deny attendance or registration to any individual or entity for any reason;
- Close Event registration earlier than the posted deadline; and
- Change the Event program day and time.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND PUBLICITY RELEASE:
You understand and agree that Event Host (or its authorised representatives or agents) may conduct interviews and may capture statements, photos and/or videos of you during the Event.
You grant the Event Host and the Intuit group companies the absolute right and permission to use your name, initials, likeness, profile or biographical information, company, organization or firm name, voice, statements made, content of any interview, image and/or photograph and any other indicia of persona (“Persona”), either alone or accompanied with other material, in any manner and in any media, throughout the world for trade, advertising, social and/or promotional purposes.
You agree that you will have no rights of prior review or approval, no claim of any kind to compensation, and no claim arising out of, or resulting from the use, alteration, blurring, distortion or illusionary effect (whether intentional or otherwise) or use in any composite form of your Persona.
You agree to release and hold Event Host and the Intuit group companies and their authorised representatives, (including trusted service providers), harmless for any and all such use(s).
You agree that any statements made by you are true and accurately reflect your honest opinion of and experience in the Event and/or the products, services and programs of the Intuit group companies.
You agree to promptly notify Event Host if your opinion changes and Event Host may opt, at its sole discretion, to cease using any materials with your Persona.
EVENT PRIVACY NOTICE:
In these Terms, the terms “Controller”, “Data Subject”, “Personal Data,” “Process,” “Processor,” and “Supervisory Authority” will have the meanings ascribed to them under Data Protection Laws.
The following words and phrases will have the following meaning:
“Data Protection Laws” means all laws, regulations, and rules applicable to Processing of Personal Data by a Party, as amended from time to time, including, but not limited to the UK GDPR;
"UK GDPR" means EU GDPR as it forms part of the law of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland by virtue of section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.
You acknowledge that Event Host will use and maintain and retain your Personal Data according to the Intuit Global Privacy Statement available at https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/, in connection with the Event.
PERSONA DATA COLLECTED:
By registering for the Event, you provide Event Host with Personal Data including, but not limited to, your full name, email address, postal address, company or business name, telephone number, website. Event Host may collect additional Personal Data from you when you participate in activities during the Event, such as polls, networking, interviews, and virtual functionalities. This may include profile Personal Data and content you provide to the networking chat functionality available from the Event platform ("Chat"), your presentation (if you are a speaker), and photographs or recordings containing your image or voice (for example, if you are interviewed about the Event).
PURPOSE OF COLLECTION:
Event Host may use your personal data for the following purposes:
- Register, facilitate, and manage your attendance at the Event;
- Send you updates and details relating to the Event by telephone, email, sms or other means;
- Send you marketing material relating to the products and services of the Intuit group companies, such as Mailchimp and Quickbooks Online and to advertise the Events and any future events;
- Perform follow up actions after the Event, such as distributing or sending swag, Photographs, and survey evaluations via post, email or other shipment methods;
- Handle any queries, complaints, or legal claims and ensure legal regulatory compliance.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL DATA:
The Event Host may share your personal Personal Data with its trusted service providers, who may be engaged to help facilitate the Event. We may also share your personal data with our employees, the Intuit group companies, and exhibitors and sponsors of the Event.
You must download the Mailchimp Event app (“App”) onto your mobile phone and log into the App using the email address you registered with in order to check-in to the Event. You may input your Personal Data into the App, and any data collected will be subject to the Intuit Global Privacy Statement
Data PROTECTION RIGHTS WHICH MAY APPLY TO YOU:
- You may access, correct, update or request deletion of your Personal Data.
- You can object to processing of your Personal Data , ask us to restrict processing of your Personal Data or request portability of your Personal Data .
- You have the right to opt-out of marketing communications we send you at any time. To update your marketing communication preferences, you can go to the marketing preference tools in your account settings or edit your email preferences for Mailchimp using the instructions found here. You may also click unsubscribe at the bottom of the marketing emails.
- If we have collected and processed your Personal Data with your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time.
- You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your Personal Data . (Contact details for data protection authorities in Europe are available here and for the UK here.)

You are responsible for updating your profile (e.g., name, company, job title).
You agree that the Intuit group companies may also process your Personal Data until you opt-out. Event Host acknowledges that privacy is an ongoing responsibility, and so it will, from time to time, update its Global Privacy Statement as it undertakes new Personal Data practices or adopt new privacy policies.
YOUR DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA:
If you use the Chat or the App functionality to chat with other attendees and/or groups during the Event, those attendees may view your profile and any Personal Data or content you choose to share.
It is a condition of your participation in the Event that you do not use Personal Data shared by other attendees without first obtaining their express consent directly from them.
If you choose to share your Personal Data with any other third party at an Event, for example any sponsor or speaker, you agree that their privacy policy will apply to their use of your Personal Data and the Event Host will have no liability of any kind for their processing and use of the Personal Data you gave them.
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD):
The Event Host is able to issue a certificate of attendance to you upon completion of the Event. Please check with your relevant professional governing body to determine if your attendance at the Event will entitle you to claim CPD hours and/or points.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMER:
By attending Event and participating in event activities, such as polls, trivia and/or networking, you hereby agree to release and hold harmless Event Host and the Intuit group companies (collectively "Intuit," "we," "us," or "our" or “Event Host”), their employees, vendors, agents, service providers, and contractors from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages, or losses, of any kind (“Claim”) which may arise out of or result from my registration, attendance at, and/or involvement in the Event.
NO WARRANTY:
You also acknowledge and agree that any advice or materials provided to you, is provided “as is,” and that neither any speakers nor Event Host provide any warranties, conditions, or undertakings of any kind in relation to it. Any advice or materials provided is for general informational purposes only, and does not establish a business relationship with Event Host.
You understand that any third party presenters at the Event are not employees or authorized agents of Event Host, and that by providing any advice or related resources to you, Event Host does not guarantee or endorse their services and accepts no liability for your reliance on such advice.
Please note that the views and opinions expressed in sessions are those of the speaker(s) and do not necessarily reflect the positions of the Event Host.
CONFIDENTIALITY:
I agree that Event Host proprietary information may be shared with me, being information and related materials (written or oral) (1) belonging to Event Host and identified as confidential or proprietary and disclosed to me during, or in connection with, the Event relating to Event Host’s software programs and documentation, products and potential products and other technology-related information, specifications and uses of products and services; product research; marketing plans; and other significant business information; or (2) all information obtained by me from, or disclosed to me by, Event Host which may include (among other things) information that (i) relates to my business, my finances and accounts, my business keeping practices, my opinions about Event Host products; (ii) Event Host’s past, present or future research, development or business activities or the results from such activities or (iii) which Event Host has received from others and which Event Host is obligated to treat as confidential or proprietary,
(“Event Host Proprietary Information”)
I agree to hold Event Host Proprietary Information in confidence and I will not use or disclose Event Host Proprietary Information except as may be authorized by Event Host in writing. I further agree that I will not remove any copyright or trademark notice, or other indication of confidentiality on the Event Host Proprietary Information; and I will not use or refer to any non-public name used by Event Host (including company, URLs, product and service names) for any purpose. Event Host Proprietary Information will not include information previously known to me or publicly disclosed without breach of an obligation of confidentiality, either prior or subsequent to my receipt of such information.
I understand I am responsible for updating my profile preference (e.g., name, company, job title), and I can cancel my registration at any time.
Health and safety:
Event Host will continue to follow local and venue requirements for meeting safely, plus guidance from UK Health Security Agency as it relates to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.
Assistance and accommodations: We are happy to help. If you need any special accommodations (e.g., if you are blind or visually impaired or use a wheelchair), please contact us in advance.
Method of payment: You can make your payment by debit, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover.
Registration policy:
Registration fees represent the cost of a single pass per person.
Registration processing: All registrations will be processed by Swoogo. Because we are contracted with an external vendor, you will not be able to see your balance or payment amount when you log in to your Mailchimp account.
Cancellation and transfer policy:
Executed registration form, online registration and email confirmation constitute binding agreement between two parties. Full refunds are available for cancellations made prior to midnight AEDT on 10 March 2025. After such date registration fees are not refundable. No refunds are given for no-shows. Amego Events app privacy notice:
In association with attending one or more of our conferences, you will have the option to download the mobile app to help you navigate the conference and plan your agenda. Mailchimp has engaged a cloud service provider (Ameego) to host the Mailchimp Events app, which will allow conference delegates to view the agenda, including any last-minute updates to sessions, speaker biographies and venue navigation.
To access the app, conference delegates must download the “Mailchimp Events” app on their mobile device, entering a unique event ID that Ameego will send by email. Mailchimp shares with Ameego event registrants’ contact Personal Data and other information to allow event delegates to be authenticated when they access the web-based event app, and the custom features of the mobile app. More information about Ameego privacy practices is available in its global privacy notice.
In the event that you elect to book a presentation session with an agency expert (by using the app or otherwise), you acknowledge and agree that any advice or materials provided to you, is provided “as is,” and that neither the agency expert nor Mailchimp provides any warranties, conditions, or undertakings of any kind in relation to it. Any advice or materials provided in connection to a presentation session is for general informational purposes only, and does not establish a business relationship between you and the agency partner or Mailchimp. You understand that the agency experts providing the advice to you are not employees or authorized agents of Mailchimp, and that by providing any advice or related resources to you, Mailchimp does not guarantee or endorse their services and accepts no liability for your reliance on such advice. Badge printing at registration:
Event Host uses Swoogo to provide badge printing services for those attending the conference. Your Personal Data will be shared with Swoogo for the purpose of printing your contact information on your name badge. A name badge is required to gain access to conference sessions and networking.
SEVERABILITY:
If any provision of these Terms is found illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the legality and enforceability of the other provisions of these Terms will not be affected.
PLEASE NOTE:
The views and opinions expressed in some sessions are those of the speaker and do not necessarily reflect the positions of Event Host or Intuit.
Applicable law and jurisdiction:
These Terms will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. The Parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
